After making an analysis of its processes and a detailed Initial Environmental Analysis of the production activities carried on at its plant, Anofor has therefore identified priority areas for action, and it has identified specific targets for its business, focusing on improving its understanding of customer needs, the study of innovative solutions and the limitation of costs, and for the reduction of its environmental impact.

SUSTAINABILITY

MORE SPECIFICALLY, CORPORATE MANAGEMENT HAS ADOPTED MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS FOR QUALITY AND THE ENVIRONMENT COMPLYING WITH UNI EN ISO 9001:2008, UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 AND REGULATION (EC) NO. 1221/2009-EMAS, WITH THE INTENTION OF IMPLEMENTING POLICIES THAT PROMOTE:

A clear understanding of the needs of customers, so as to identify new solutions and foresee future requests;
The active and widespread involvement, collaboration and spirit of initiative of all employees, giving them greater responsibility;
The training and instruction of employees, so as to achieve more detailed knowledge of technical problems, enhanced innovative capacities and greater responsibility with regard to environmental protection;
The involvement of suppliers in open and transparent collaboration, coparticipation in improvement programmes and the assessment of these programmes after implementation to improve their environmental performance;

The respect of the human rights of all individuals in coherence with the greater needs for protection;
The definition of targets that can be achieved because they are shared by all parties involved, and that are not utopian;
The communication to the general public of the necessary information to understand the environmental effects of our activities, pursuing an open dialogue;
Cooperation with public authorities;
The control and reduction of the environmental impact of the wastes produced by our activities, recycling as much as possible and rationalizing the use of the chemical substances used in our systems;

The prevention of the possible impact of our activities on the soil and on groundwater;
The maintenance of the high level of efficiency of our systems for the recycling of waste water;
The preliminary assessment of the environmental impacts produced by new processes and by any changes made to existing systems;
The adoption of all measures necessary to reduce environmental impacts associated with emergency situations.
The enhancement of acquired experience, which must be considered to be a corporate asset;

In particular, following the Initial Environmental Analysis performed, all aspects linked with waste water and atmospheric emissions are considered to be a priority.
The commitment of Anofor is therefore oriented towards the adoption of technological and operating choices that guarantee continuous conformity with the applicable environmental standards, applying a management system that focuses on attention to the respect of the territory of the company and of its human resources.
The pursuit of these main objectives is and will be promoted by a gradual activity of in-house awareness development, training and information on the environmental effects of our production cycle.
